Leonie Link graduated in architecture from Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (BArch, 2020) and Bauhaus-University Weimar (MSc, 2023) and spent semesters abroad in Reykjavik and Brussels. She was part of the student initiative horizonte im Weimar and worked in different architecture studios during her studies. Currently she is doing her PhD at the Chair of Politics of Representation at the Bauhaus-University Weimar, and teaches at the Chair of Urban Design at the University of Stuttgart. In her Dissertation she investigates relations between the (architectural) body, cladding, and expression through the lens of textile art at intersections with public space, focusing on its potential for democratic empowerment. Her interests range from architecture, spatial and art theory to cultural and political studies.
